Technicalities

Medcyclopaedia.com is created to work best with MS-Windows 98 or higher, together with Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. As we use cookie based technology to enable recognition of your computer by our server upon registration and re-visits to the site, cookies must be allowed to pass through your firewall and enabled by your browser to be stored on your hard drive. Should you happen to be working on an older Mac, Safari and VirtualPC must be installed before registration.  On newer Macs, we would recommend that you use Firefox or IE - latest editions.

Desk Top Search Window and Medical Spell Checker are the only two tools that require installation. All other tools and features come automatically with the new Professional Edition interface presented to you after you have successfully completed the registration.

Before you start the installation, close all other programs. Follow the instructions given at the respective installation pages. These programs work best under Win98/IE5.0 and above. The installation process described above may vary slightly depending on the configuration of your computer. In case you should encounter problems during the installation, please contact your local computer help desk facility for assistance.

Installation difficulties?
Some organizations do not permit any installations of software from the internet. If this causes problems for you, please ask your IT/IM/computing department to upload the Desktop Search Window and Medical Spell Checker for you to use on your computer.
