Stenvers projection

conventional unilateral radiographic projection of the temporal bone. The patient is positioned in the ventral decubitus position, with the head turned 45 to the opposite side. The central X-ray beam passes between the orbit and external auditory canal. This projection provides a general overview of the petrous bone and has now been replaced by CT.
