Sphenochoanal polyp

polyp arising in the sphenoid sinus, prolapsing through the sinus ostium and sphenoethmoid recess into the choana and eventually into the nasopharynx. It is similar to an antrochoanal polyp, except that its place of origin is different. The pharyngeal component may appear as an angiomatous polyp (Fig.1).
