Rhabdomyoma, head and neck

benign tumour of skeletal muscle. It occurs predominantly in the heart (often associated with one of the phacomatoses) and in the head and neck region (no such association apparent). It has been described in the larynx, pharynx, oral cavity and submandibular region. The radiological findings are those of a well circumscribed soft tissue mass, showing tissue characteristics similar to muscle.
