Rhinoscleroma

infectious disease of the upper respiratory tract, caused by Klebsiella rhinoscleromatis. It affects not only the nose, but also the mouth, paranasal sinuses, pharynx, larynx and trachea. Rhinoscleroma evolves through three stages: after an initial stage of mucosal atrophy, a granulomatous stage may appear, eventually followed by a stage of fibrosis and stenosis. The imaging findings are nonspecific.
