Pendred's syndrome

(Vaughan Pendred, 1869-1946, English physician), congenital disease characterized by the association of a goitre and severe sensorineural hearing loss . On CT or MR imaging, an enlarged vestibular aqueduct is seen; MRI also shows an enlarged endolymphatic sac. Modiolar abnormalities may also be present.
