Head and Neck ImagingParalaryngeal space
name given by some authors to the deep tissue space between the
mucosa and the supporting skeleton of the larynx; it largely contains adipose tissue. The paralaryngeal space can be divided into the
pre epiglottic space and paired
paraglottic space. These deep spaces are important as they allow submucosal (
occult) spread of disease through the larynx.
