Michel aplasia

complete aplasia of the inner ear, a very rare congenital inner ear malformation. On CT and MRI the inner ear structures are absent; differentiation from complete labyrinthine ossification (most commonly seen after childhood meningitis) may be difficult (see also labyrinthitis).
