Lymphoepithelioma

carcinoma with a lymphoid stroma, also known as undifferentiated carcinoma of nasopharyngeal type. It occurs at sites having lymphoid aggregates within the submucosa, namely in Waldeyers ring. Infection with the EpsteinBarr virus seems to play an important aetiological role.
