Inflammation, laryngeal

Children with epiglottitis or croup (also, see croup) are the patients with laryngeal inflammation most commonly seen by the radiologist. Tuberculosis head and neck or some other granulomatous disease may affect the larynx. Rarely rheumatoid disease of the crico-arytenoid or crico-thyroid articulations occurs. Relapsing polychondritis may affect the laryngeal cartilages.
