Head and Neck ImagingExtramedullary plasmacytoma
uncommon plasma cell
neoplasm, arising most frequently from the soft tissues of the head and neck region, without evidence of systemic disease. The most common sites are the nose and the
paranasal sinuses. The gross appearance is nonspecific. It may spread to surrounding soft tissues and invade bone, and may show lymphatic
metastasis. There is controversy as to whether extramedullary plasmacytoma is a separate clinicopathological entity, or a stage in the development of
multiple myeloma head and neck manifestation.
