Caldwell's projection of sinonasal cavities

(Eugene Wilson Caldwell, 1870-1918, American radiologist), conventional radiographic projection of the maxillofacial skeleton (posteroanterior projection), giving a good image of the nose, frontal and ethmoidal sinuses and orbits. The canthomeatal line is perpendicular to the film (usually, nose and forehead will be in the same vertical plane). The X-ray beam is angulated craniocaudally and forms an angle of about 15 with the canthomeatal line.
