Head and Neck Imaging

Anaplastic carcinoma

carcinoma without epithelial structural differentiation. In the head and neck it is mainly seen to arise from the thyroid gland, usually affecting older patients. It is a very aggressive neoplasm, growing rapidly and invading the surrounding structures. The prognosis is poor.
