Parietal foramen

a normal osseous channel coursing through the three tables in the superior parietal region of the skull. Through it the emissary vein of Santorini joins the superior sagittal sinus with the parietal scalp veins. Enlarged parietal foramina are secondary to a faulty ossification of the parietal fontanelles.
