Neuroradiology

Lymphoma, spinal

An intramedullary lymphoma may occur as part of a multifocal lymphoma, with cerebral, cerebellar or brain stem lesions associated with the intramedullary lesion. Primary intramedullary lymphoma is rare. Histological examination of a surgical specimen is mandatory to establish the diagnosis of lymphoma, especially in the absence of other known lymphoma of the central nervous system.

Histology

Lymphoma infiltration consists of lymphoid cells resembling systemic lymphoma cells (image 2: see arrows - image 3: immunochemistry).
