Lymphoepithelioma

carcinoma with a lymphoid stroma, also known as undifferntiated carcinoma of nasopharyngeal type. It occurs at sites having lymphoid aggregates within the submucosa,namely in Waldeyers ring. Infection with the Epstein-Barr virus seems to play an important aetiological role.
