This tumor is very rare in the spinal cord. During the course of its evolution it may metastasize to the brain by CSF seeding.
Glioblastomas are anaplastic cellular tumors with prominent vascular proliferation and/or necrosis. This tumor corresponds to grade IV of the WHO classification.
