NeuroradiologyCobb's syndrome
(also called cutaneous vertebral medullary angiomatosis), congenital vascular anomaly characterized by a triad of skin, bone and spinal cord involvement by arteriovenous malformation.
The condition is a metameric vascular malformation (metameric angioma) that involves all three layers (ectoderm, mesoderm and neural tissue) of the same segmental dermatome.
The cutaneous malformation is capillary or arterial, frequently with high flow fistulas. MRI and angiography demonstrate the full extent and haemodynamic characteristics of the malformation.
