the configuration of the bulboventricular loop in which the right ventricle is situated to the left of the left ventricle. It is a normal ventricular loop for situs inversus but is abnormal for situs solitus. Corrected transposition (levotransposition) is the most frequently encountered congenital cardiac anomaly with an L-loop configuration. The type of ventricular loop is most readily determined by echocardiography and MRI.
