Chest ImagingTraction bronchiectasis
bronchial dilatation and irregularity occurring in patients with
pulmonary fibrosis, because of traction by fibrous tissue on the
bronchial wall. Visible on
HRCT as bronchiectasis which is commonly irregular or varicose in contour. In patients with
lung fibrosis and distorsion of lung architecture, traction bronchiectasis is commonly present.
