Nonspecific interstitial pneumonitis

(NSIP), an interstitial pneumonitis which cannot be classified as belonging to one of the several recognized entities of usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP), desquamative interstitial pneumonia (DIP), lymphocytic interstitial pneumonia (LIP) or giant cell interstitial pneumonia, or other conditions such as bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia (BOOP) or hypersensitivity pneumonitis. It may share features of more than one of these, both histologically and radiographically.
