Chest ImagingNecrotizing sarcoid granulomatosis
vascular manifestation of
sarcoidosis. Patients are often asymptomatic and the disease is discovered on an incidental chest radiograph. Radiologically, the most common pattern is that of bilateral
nodules that tend to show a predilection for the lower zones.
Hilar and
mediastinal lymphadenopathy may be present. The diagnosis is based on lung
biopsy. The prognosis is excellent with good response to steroids.
