Necrotizing sarcoid granulomatosis

vascular manifestation of sarcoidosis. Patients are often asymptomatic and the disease is discovered on an incidental chest radiograph. Radiologically, the most common pattern is that of bilateral nodules that tend to show a predilection for the lower zones. Hilar and mediastinal lymphadenopathy may be present. The diagnosis is based on lung biopsy. The prognosis is excellent with good response to steroids.
