Chest ImagingIntralobular interstitial thickening
an early sign of
fibrosis in a number of lung diseases. The intralobular interstitium is a fine network of very thin connective tissue fibres that surround small arteries and bronchioles and support the alveolar walls. Thickening of these fibres results in a fine reticular, or "net-like" appearance on
HRCT.
