Chest ImagingChurg strauss syndrome
(Jacob Churg, 20th century, American pathologist and Lotte Strauss, 20th century, American pathologist) (also called allergic angiitis and granulomatosis), a systemic disease characterized by the presence of granulomatous vasculitis and extravascular granulomas that can involve many organs. It is often associated with asthma and eosinophilia. Lung involvement often predominates and renal involvement is uncommon. Radiographs and CT show lung nodules, which unlike Wegeners granulomatosis chest, do not tend to cavitate, and peripheral areas of consolidation similar to those of eosinophilic pneumonia.
