Centrilobular interstitial thickening

thickening or abnormal prominence of the interstitium in the centre of a secondary pulmonary lobule. Typically the interstitium surrounding the centrilobular artery and bronchiole are involved. It is seen in a variety of infiltrative lung diseases, but can be a predominant feature in diseases affecting centrilobular bronchioles, lymphatics or arteries.
