rare gastric tumours from developmental origin that consists of muscular, epithelial and pancreatic tissue. They are also called ectopic pancreas when the amount of pancreatic tissue is abundant. They occur most frequently in the antrum of the stomach and
duodenum. The
tumour is usually solitary and small. It has the appearance of a smoothly lined nonpedunculated intramural
lesion. Central
ulceration with umbilication has been observed.
