Sandwich vertebral body

a radiographic appearance of the vertebra in which an extreme and uniform increase in radiodensity is seen at the superior and inferior margins (Fig.1). This finding is seen in persons with osteopetrosis or myelofibrosis. See osteopetrosis (III:1), Fig. 3
