a metabolic disorder that is one of the causes of
nonspherocytic haemolytic anaemia
. Among the
radiographic
changes noted in persons with this deficiency are marrow hyperplasia,
osteoporosis
, widening of the diploe, and thinning of the outer table of the cranial vault.
