Popcorn calcification

a radiographic appearance occurring in the metaphyses or epiphyses of long tubular bones in children with severe osteogenesis imperfecta. On radiographs multiple scalloped areas with sclerotic margins are observed. The cause is believed to be traumatic fragmentation of the cartilage growth plate.

Popcorn-like calcifications are also seen in enchondroma, which reveals lucent areas of variable size containing central calcification.
