Plantar fibromatosis

fibrous proliferation and replacement of part of the plantar aponeurosis or fascia. Usually patients have no symptoms, although the lesions may be palpable. On MR imaging single or multiple nodules are of low signal intensity on T1-weighted spin-echo images and of low to intermediate signal intensity on T2-weighted spin-echo images (Fig.1).
