Osteoid

the material forming organic matrix of bone, or immature bone that has not yet undergone calcification. Abnormal amounts of osteoid may line the trabeculae and haversian canals in osteomalacia. Focal accumulations of osteoid are termed Loosers zones or Milkmans pseudofractures.
