Kyphosis

abnormal convexity of the thoracic spine viewed from the side. This abnormality has also been known as hunchback.

Kyphosis occurs in various pathologic conditions, such as tuberculous spondylitis (gibbus deformity), osteoporosis or Duchennes muscular dystrophy.
