Klinefelter's syndrome

(Harry Fitch Klinefelter, Jr., 20th century, American physician), a chromosomal disorder usually resulting from the presence of two or more X chromosomes and a single Y chromosome. For a general description, see Klinefelters syndrome.

Persons with Klinefelter's syndrome exhibit mental retardation, muscle weakness, delayed puberty and infertility. On radiographs the findings may include clinodactyly, short metacarpals, accessory epiphyses, flattened ulnar styloid process, pointed phalangeal tufts and radioulnar synostosis.
