Garr's sclerosing osteomyelitis

a sclerotic, nonpurulent form of osteomyelitis that is usually described in the mandible or maxilla but may sometimes occur in the long tubular bones, especially the femur and tibia. The bone cortex shows sclerotic thickening with increased bone density; a diffuse inflammatory reaction is also typical.
