Eosinophilia - myalgia syndrome

a disorder caused by the ingestion of L-tryptophan and characterized by incapacitating myalgia and high eosinophil counts. Clinically the disease resembles the toxic oil syndrome or eosinophilic fasciitis and has an explosive onset and possible epidemic nature. For a general description, see eosinophilia.
