Oculomotor nerve

the third cranial nerve, motor nerve from the brain stem. Emerging from the interpeduncular fossa it traverses the interpeduncular cistern to continue in the lateral wall of the cavernous sinus. It then passes through the superior orbital fissure to the inferior oblique and the medial, inferior and superior rectus muscles of the eye.
