a computed tomography CT scanner design consisting of a single X-ray source rigidly coupled to an array of detectors which receives the radiation transmitted through the patient. The projection fan angle is large enough to irradiate the entire scanned field of view and the tube-detector assembly rotates around the patient to collect a complete set of projection measurements.
