Raw data

the set of measurements made directly by the imaging system from which an image can be reconstructed. In computed tomography CT , the raw data consists of the measurements of the detected X-ray transmission intensities. In general, the raw data are processed by a reconstruction algorithm to form a reconstructed image. See also image reconstruction.
