Edge-band distribution

the spatial distribution of X-ray photons over the focal spot area. When measuring the focal spot size with a pinhole camera, it is often seen that the intensity distribution is uneven, especially perpendicular to the X-ray tube axis. The intensity at the edges of the focal spot is generally higher than in the central part.
