Pelvis

1 - The lowest part of the body trunk, roughly between the hip-bones. The pelvis contains the urinary bladder, uterus, in addition to several large blood vessels, muscles and bones. The pelvis also connects the spine to the lower parts of the body (legs, hips). 2 - any more or less bowl-shaped structure, e.g. renal pelvis
