Fibrin

Fibrous protein derived from fibrinogen through triggering by thrombin. Fibrinopeptide A (FpA) and B (FpB) are released during fibrin formation. Fibrin formation is the last step of the clotting cascade. Fibrin creates an organic mesh which will trap platelets, erythrocytes and other cells.
