Clinical history
37-year-old female with progressive paraparesis.
Pre-operative MRI
Image 1: Sagittal T2WI. A low signal intramedullary lesion is seen at the T8 level, with an isointense anterior exophytic component.
Surgery
Removal of the lesion.
Histology
Typical appearance of cavernoma.
Image 2 (Hemalun-phloxin-safranin x20): vascular malformation with cavernomatous structure
