Giant saccular aneurysm of the left internal carotid artery, case 2

   

This 52 year old female presented with transient episodes of headache.

 The initial CT scan revealed a large vascular lesion in relation to the left internal carotid artery.

Markedly decreased intravascular signal intensity is noted in the ipsilateral anterior and middle cerebral arteries compared to the right side (spins traveling through the aneurysmal sac are subjected to several RF pulses, therefore significant intravolume saturation occurs).
