Gadolinium 3D MRA, intracranial pathology, case 6
AVM of the posterior fossa
This 30 year-old-female complains from pulsatile headaches and intermittent episodes of vertigo. Neurological examination is normal. Routine CT demonstrates a posterior fossa lesion consistent with the diagnosis of AVM confirmed later on MRI.
This case illustrates the use of different MR angiographic techniques for the pre-therapeutic work up of an AVM.

Axial proton density images show flow void areas highly suggestive of a left cerebellar AVM.
