Examination by Organs

Medical imaging is used to examine all organs and parts of the body. Different modalities could be used for examining the same organ or body system depending on the nature of the lesion or what the doctor actually want to see. Patients may from time to time undergo several different kinds of medical imaging examinations in order to obtain the best result or the most evident diagnosis.

In this chapter we have focused on the body system or organ in question, and have discribed suitable medical imaging techniques to obtain reliable outcomes from these. Please note that there will always be different ways to obtain a reliable diagnosis, and the one is not necessarily better than the other.
