Indication for PET: Restaging
Incidental finding:
Colon polyp coecum with intense FDG uptake. Colonoscopy suggested for further evaluation.
Teaching point:
Follow-up with colonoscopy and biopsy is recommended for colon polyps with high FDG uptake as they frequently represent a malignant or premalignant lesion.
