SPECT

Also called SPET. Single Photon Emission (Computed) Tomography. An NM technique where 1 or 2 gamma cameras rotate slowly around the patient, making a large number of projections, that are processed by a computer to create a (cross-) sectional image. SPECT has many similarities with CT (cf. what SPECT stands for) and MRI
