Lymph
Pale yellow tissue fluid, circulating in special lymph vessels that drain into the venous system. Contains lymph cells, but may also contain fat or red blood cells. The lymph system is part of our immune defence system, and in many diseases the lymph nodes along the lymph vessels may become enlarged as a sign of inflammation. Since the lymph system is also important in the transport of fat, our intestines have a large supply of lymph.
