Inflammation

Pathological reaction of an organ or tissue, characterised by heath/warmth (Latin: calor), redness (Latin: rubor) and pain (Latin: dolor). Often caused by bacteria or viruses, but also as an accompanying symptom to tumours, or caused by injuries or over-exposure to stimuli.
