VAriable Sampling in Time
K-space view ordering scheme, used in 3D fat saturated FIESTA imaging of the coronary arteries. Acquires the low spatial frequency data at a higher temporal resolution than the outer portion of k-space, enabling a reduction in scan time (necessary to acquire the full heart in a single breath-hold). The two unequal segments of k-space are acquired over two successive heartbeats.
